I am very excited to announce that the new recording, Fairy Tales, Monsters and Wild Animals will be released and distributed by Move Records, based in Melbourne.
Release date and Cd Launch concerts will be announced soon, watch this space!
Fairy Tales Monsters and Wild Animals has been a number of years in the making – it features an original composition In the Wild that was composed in 2013, and was recorded, edited and mastered over the last two years as I travelled across the USA, with thanks to my friends in Vermont, Wisconsin and Connecticut, all of whom played their part – as did my friends in Seattle, where I wrote In the Wild. This recording is my most personal yet and truly represents a long and unexpected journey.
Meredith has moved to Melbourne and is now teaching guitar, in Suzuki and traditional styles in Melbourne! She is accepting students from age 3 and up in Elsternwick 3185 at Music Works Magic and in Fitzroy North, 3068.
I am pleased to announce that the World Premiere of Seattle Colors for Viola, Cello and Guitar, in April of 2015, has resulted in a recording of a rehearsal available to view on video and a score available on the Store page.
There’s many things to be looking forward to over the next few months.
First, Meredith will be a guest clinician and coach at the Contemporary Music Festival of Weston, MA, where the students of Rivers School will perform selections from her composition for Narrator and Guitar, In the Wild.
In April Meredith will be performing two concerts:
Saturday 4th, 5pm, 112 Main St. Norwalk: in concert performing solo and chamber works with guests Nick Revel on Viola and Sarah Bennett Wolfe on Cello for the World Premiere of new composition Seattle Colors
Wednesday 15th, lunchtime concert, St Paul’s On the Green, 60 East Ave, Norwalk, CT; Monsters, Fairy Tales and Wild Animals: solo guitar music.
