Bringing over twenty years of teaching experience to guitar instruction, Meredith has continued to research and study the art of teaching, supplementing her degrees with an examination pedagogical techniques and methods, early childhood music, child development, and ways to maximize the natural physical movement of the body so as to cause the least amount of stress and tension in performing and playing through Alexander Technique.
Meredith has taught classical guitar, Suzuki guitar, songwriting, singer-songwriters, music theory and musicianship, applied theory on the guitar, and the Royal Conservatory (RCM) and Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) curriculum.
She teaches students of any age, from age 3 and up, but no matter which style, be it classical or more popular styles, her two goals for any student are a natural and relaxed posture while playing to prevent any kind of repetitive strain injuries and a joyous relationship to the music -understanding phrasing and musicality give a window into enjoying all kinds of music.
