What’s new with Meredith and the East Coast

There’s many things to be looking forward to over the next few months.

First, Meredith will be a guest clinician and coach at the Contemporary Music Festival of Weston, MA, where the students of Rivers School will perform selections from her composition for Narrator and Guitar, In the Wild.

In April Meredith will be performing two concerts:

Saturday 4th, 5pm, 112 Main St. Norwalk:   in concert performing solo and chamber works with guests Nick Revel on Viola and Sarah Bennett Wolfe on Cello for the World Premiere of new composition Seattle Colors

Wednesday 15th, lunchtime concert, St Paul’s On the Green, 60 East Ave, Norwalk, CT; Monsters, Fairy Tales and Wild Animals:  solo guitar music.

Meredith Connie (guitar) and Chris Worswick (cello) present a program of music for guitar solo, guitar and cello duos, including the stunning Luminance (Nathan Kolosko) and Sonata by Brazilian composer Radames Gnattali.  Audiences have responded very warmly to this unusual chamber combination that brings together two respected Seattle musicians.  Solo guitar works include Le Decameron Noir by Cuban Composer Leo Brouwer.  In addition they will present a rarely performed guitar concerto by 18th century guitar composer Mauro Guiliani for guitar and string quartet.
